The Lost Weekend Edit

When John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono separated In 1973, Lennon began a relationship with his personal assistant and production coordinator May Pang. They traveled together to Max’s Kansas City one night to listen to Bob Marley and the Wailers and Bruce Springsteen perform. While sitting at a table he is disrupted by photographer Billy McVicar attempting to take a photo of the former Beatle and his new girlfriend. Not wanting to be bothered Lennon tells him to “piss off” while his bodyguard demands the photographer to give him some space. After meeting with Billy, Devon Finestra decides to impress him with her ability to charm Lennon into giving up his photograph. She persuades Lennon to one photograph only, but instead, she hands the camera to him to take a photo of both of her and Ingrid Superstar. Amused by this he takes the photo as well as a few others including one of himself while exchanging playful banter. May asks if they would like to join them at their table but Devon politely declines.
